Digital technologies and regulatory developments are increasingly shaping the future of the textile and apparel industry. Companies and research organisations are required to adapt to new data driven approaches while responding to evolving European policy frameworks focused on sustainability and circularity.
Events that connect industry, research and policy stakeholders provide an important platform to exchange knowledge, align strategies and explore collaborative approaches to these challenges. They also offer insights into how technological innovation and regulation interact within the textile ecosystem.
The Textile ETP Annual Conference 2026 will take place from 26 to 28 May 2026 at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Organised in partnership with AUAS and Modint, the conference marks the 20th edition of this annual gathering.
The programme focuses on the impact of digitalisation, automation and artificial intelligence on the textile value chain. In parallel, dedicated sessions address key European policy topics, including the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, the Digital Product Passport, the AI Act and circular economy initiatives.
In addition to conference sessions, the event provides opportunities for professional exchange and networking across the European textile ecosystem. On 28 May, participants can take part in a visit to Saxion University of Applied Sciences to explore applied research and regional innovation activities.
