RREUSE is Europe’s largest network of social enterprises active in the circular economy, with a focus on reuse, repair and recycling of textiles, electronics, furniture and more.
As part of the European Week of Waste Reduction, we will host a webinar to officially launch our new report on Targets for Reuse and Preparing for Reuse in the EU.
The report will analyse existing national targets for reuse and make the case for separate reuse targets at EU level, e.g. under the WFD and WEEE Directive. This has direct relevance for textiles, soon to be covered by Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes across the EU, and for several other products and waste streams.
The webinar will take place on Friday, 28 November, from 14:00 to 15:30 (CET). The discussion will bring together a diverse panel of stakeholders, including a Member of the European Parliament, a Producer Responsibility Organisation, a national centre for the circular economy, and RREUSE. The webinar will provide policy insights, an overview of all existing targets for consumer goods in the EU, and recommendations for advancing reuse through targets.
