On 10 October 2025, the European Commission will host a webinar titled ‘Why Public Procurers Should Choose EU Ecolabel Products’. The event aims to guide public authorities and procurement professionals on integrating environmental standards into their purchasing decisions by choosing products certified with the EU Ecolabel. The session is especially relevant for stakeholders in sustainability, public procurement, municipal planning, and green markets. 

The webinar will cover the benefits of using EU Ecolabel-labelled goods in public tenders, including environmental performance, cost-efficiency over lifecycle, and regulatory compliance. Experts will present case studies, share best practices, and explain how to include ecolabel criteria in procurement frameworks. Participants will also learn about tools and guidance available to support greener purchasing decisions. 

This online event is open to all public authorities, procurement officers, industry suppliers, NGOs, and institutions interested in sustainable procurement. Pre-registration is open till 8 October, and details are available via the European Commission’s environment portal.
