The textile industry is undergoing profound change. Climate regulation, circular business models, labour market shifts and digital disruption are reshaping the way companies operate. To stay competitive, organisations must go beyond compliance and develop the foresight and capabilities to innovate across the entire value chain.
Climate KIC Academy is offering a free, three-part online programme on 24 October, 7 November and 21 November 2025, designed to help professionals anticipate change and translate it into tangible action.
What the programme offers
Participants will:
uncover the systemic drivers that determine the future of the sector, and learn how to communicate them effectively inside their organisations;
co-create credible scenarios for future growth, combining sustainability and competitiveness;
build actionable innovation portfolios that balance incremental improvements with transformative initiatives.
Rather than focusing on isolated solutions, the programme fosters system thinking. For example, compostable packaging can only succeed if municipalities, suppliers, brands and consumers are aligned. The modules will help participants design solutions that work across actors and infrastructures.
Who should join
The programme is tailored to sustainability and strategy leaders, innovation and R&D managers, supply chain professionals, business developers, researchers and industry associations seeking practical tools to future-proof their organisations.
Practical details
Each module runs from 10:00 to 13:00 CET. Places are limited to 30 per session, with participants selected to ensure diverse perspectives across the value chain. Completing all three modules equips participants with a concrete project idea, a skills and tools map, and an innovation portfolio ready for piloting.
