The EU-funded RIVCircular project has launched an open call for interregional circular economy innovation proposals, with a total budget of €12.95 million. The call supports innovation projects developing solutions at Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) 6-8 across five topics: construction and demolition waste circularity, circular energy integration, electric vehicle battery recycling and reuse, circular economy in the textiles ecosystem, and digital solutions for the circular economy.  

Under the call, projects addressing construction and demolition waste, circular energy integration, electric vehicle battery recycling and reuse, and circular economy in the textiles ecosystem can receive between €1 million and €2 million per project. Projects focused on digital solutions for the circular economy can receive between €200 000 and €700 000. The maximum funding available to a single beneficiary is €600 000. Among the supported aread, the call includes projects developing interregional innovation solutions to advance circularity in the textiles ecosystem.  

Applicants must be based in one of the eligible RIVCircular funding territories: Madrid (Spain), Innlandet (Norway), Kyiv-Oblast (Ukraine), Košice (Slovakia), Hauts-de-France (France), Extremadura (Spain), Vienna (Austria) or Greece, with eligibility varying by topic and territory. Consortia must include at least three entities from three different EU Member States or EEA contracting parties, with at least one RIVCircular participating territory represented. The deadline for applications is 17 September 2026 at 14:00 CEST.
