RegioGreenTex is a European initiative that promotes collaboration in research and innovation across the textile industry to support the transition towards circular economy models. Developed in the framework of the European Green Deal, the initiative brings together industry actors, public authorities, research institutions and other stakeholders to foster a more sustainable and competitive textile ecosystem across European regions.
The platform supports cooperation among partners and stakeholders by facilitating knowledge exchange, matchmaking and collaboration through digital tools and regional initiatives. It aims to map circular economy opportunities across different regions, support SMEs in developing innovative textile solutions with higher recycled content and strengthen links between demand and supply within the European recycling ecosystem.
Through its activities, RegioGreenTex also promotes the development of regional textile recycling hubs and encourages investment in circular textile technologies and business models. The initiative involves a broad consortium of partners across multiple European regions working together to scale up circular practices and strengthen resilience within the EU textile value chain.
