The European Commission has launched a ‘Call for Papers’ for the 2026 Research Conference on the EU Single Market, scheduled for 19 March 2026 in Brussels. Researchers are invited to submit proposals by 31 October 2025 on the interplay of single market integration and industrial policy across sectors including textiles, energy, and innovation.

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs has opened a ‘Call for Papers’ for the 2026 Research Conference on the EU Single Market, to be held in Brussels on 19 March 2026. This is the fourth edition of the conference.
Submissions are invited on themes such as the integration of the single market, challenges and opportunities in goods, services, labour and capital, cross-border spillovers in innovation and investment, and links between industrial policy and the single market. The call also welcomes papers on sectors including energy, telecommunications, defence, and TCLF (Textiles, Clothing, Leather and Footwear) among others.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 31 October 2025. The conference will feature keynote speeches (e.g. by Cristina Caffarra) and bring together prominent researchers to present findings and provide policy insights.
