In January 2025, the European Commission launched the Competitiveness Compass, a strategic roadmap inspired by the Draghi Report, aiming to restore dynamism in Europe’s economy.
A year on, over 90% of the flagship initiatives announced in the compass have been directly informed by recommendations from the Draghi Report. More than €1 trillion has been mobilised across innovation, clean technologies, and security to support Europe’s competitive edge.
Beyond funding, the Commission has adopted 33 flagship initiatives and 14 legislative proposals in response to the Draghi framework. These efforts underscore Europe’s push toward sustainable growth and global leadership in innovation.
