The CRAFT-IT4SD initiative has launched a new survey aimed at gathering insights from business leaders, decision-makers, and entrepreneurs across the fashion and textile industry on the current state of digitalisation and sustainable practices. Open until the end of June 2026, the survey seeks to better understand how companies across the textile value chain are approaching sustainability and digital transformation, as well as the practical challenges and opportunities they encounter in day-to-day operations. The initiative aims to support the development of future policy recommendations and support measures that are more closely aligned with industry realities.
The survey focuses on identifying key barriers, enabling factors, and operational experiences linked to sustainability and digitalisation within the sector. According to the initiative, participation is encouraged from businesses at all stages of engagement including companies already implementing digital and sustainable practices, those in early transition phases, and businesses not yet actively focusing on these areas. By collecting perspectives from across the ecosystem, the project aims to build a broader understanding of current industry conditions and transition needs. The findings are expected to contribute to discussions around innovation support, sustainability strategies, and industrial transformation within the European textile sector.
