The Government of Chile and the European Union (EU) have launched a joint call for expressions of interest inviting Chilean and EU companies to submit detailed proposals for innovative circular economy solutions that can help build or strengthen sustainable and circular value chains contributing to Chile’s environmental, social and economic development.

This initiative is part of the Global Gateway, the EU’s global investment strategy aimed at narrowing the investment gap by mobilising sustainable investment, technology transfer and public-private partnerships. Submissions are expected to describe solutions across value chains, with a focus on textiles, organic materials, photovoltaic panels and plastics from various industries.

The call is non-binding and designed to gather preliminary ideas and information on potential strategies and approaches. Responses can be submitted in English or Spanish, and companies are encouraged to address one or more of the identified areas from a value-chain perspective. The application window closes on 10 February 2026. Following this phase, Chile and the EU plan to use the collected information to facilitate investment through technical assistance, capacity building, research and innovation support, regulatory framework development and possibly catalytic financial instruments.
