The first call of the Textiles of the Future Partnership under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-CL4-INDUSTRY-2025-01-MATERIALS-31) has just closed, drawing 33 project proposals from across Europe. The call, focused on digitised local-for-local textile and apparel production, saw strong interest from universities, research institutes, SMEs and industry players.

With €10 million available and individual requests of up to €5 million, only two projects are expected to be selected. The total funding requested by applicants reached €165 million, highlighting the urgency of innovation in the textile sector. Evaluation results are expected in early 2026, with selected projects starting in spring 2026.
