CDC Studio pledges to advance Research & Innovation in textile recycling by scaling up its patented MIKTÒS technology, which transforms mixed-composition textile by-products into thermoplastic compounds without chemical separation of the fibres. The resulting compounds can be processed on standard industrial moulding equipment and offer a direct substitute for virgin fossil-based polymers such as ABS and PP.
CDC Studio will further develop MIKTÒS by broadening the range of accepted textile inputs, optimising the technical performance of the compound and validating new grades for additional moulding applications.
CDC Studio pledges to producing at least 200 tonnes of MIKTÒS compound annually by 2028.
