To encourage the global textile industry to align their production operations with the new EU sustainable textile regulations, CEMATEX has developed 4 tutorials and 4 webinars to explain the new regulations since 2025. CEMATEX will disseminate the webinars and tutorials on social media to maximize reach and impact. To inform Asian textile industry that supplies the EU market about the EU  Textile Strategy and relevant legislation, CEMATEX will also organise a conference at the occasion of the ITMAASIA 2025 textile technology exhibition in Singapore.

Progress reported in October 2026: 

• CEMATEX has delivered five webinars on the EU Textile Strategy and related legislation. 
• The ITMA Sustainability Forum held alongside ITMA ASIA + CITME, Singapore 2025 in October 2025 was well-received and attracted the participation of about 120 participants. Presented by CEMATEX, the inaugural ITMA Sustainability Forum featured a keynote presentation by Mr Philipp Dupuis, representing the European Commission, who outlined the EU’s efforts to advance a more sustainable, circular and competitive textile industry through regulation, digitalisation, innovation and international collaboration across the global textile value chain. The forum also brought together policymakers, financial institutions, and industry leaders who shared insights on emerging regulations, pathways for green financing, and innovations driving circularity. A series of seminar video recordings (See table 3B) is available for on-demand viewing.

Next Steps:

• A guide to EU Textile & Garment Regulations is currently being developed for the ITMA 2027 website.
• A series of blog articles on the regulations are also planned for the coming months.
• Going forward, the 2024 webinar tutorials will be repurposed to reinforce key messages and takeaways.
