To facilitate and speed up the dissemination of innovations for sustainable textiles, Cematex will sponsor the participation to ITMA 2027 of 30 research institutes, universities and start-ups working on research and innovations that would improve the textile industry’ circularity, in particular as regards sustainable textile manufacturing processes and chemical products.
Progress reported in October 2026:
As part of CEMATEX’s commitment to supporting research institutes, universities and start-ups, 24 applications have been received to date from organisations seeking to participate in the Research & Innovation (R&I) product chapter with the support of a CEMATEX grant.
Next steps:
- Confirm the participation of shortlisted R&I exhibitors.
- Launch promotional campaigns to raise awareness of R&I and SUV participants and judges.
