The Finnish Textile & Fashion Association promotes sustainable textile fibre innovations to many stakeholders, including media and decision makers. The Finnish Textile & Fashion Association supports research projects developing new solutions for bio-colourant production and application for the textile industry.

In November 2023, the Finnish Textile & Fashion Association published a brochure Ecological Textile Fibres from Finland, which was shared widely.

The Finnish Textile & Fashion Association supports the first North European conference on natural and bio-based colourants, which was held in Helsinki, 4-7 June 2024. The theme of the conference was “Sustainable Value Chain for Colour”, where bio-based colourants will be viewed from multidisciplinary perspectives combining research with businesses.
