Lenzing aims to create a data service ecosystem in Austria that supports digital product passport.

Progress reported in July 2026: Lenzing has established a dedicated DPP team within the company that closely monitors legislative developments and is proactively exploring implementation solutions for information requirements already identified in the JRC preparatory study. Lenzing has appointed experts in the relevant fields (e.g., chemicals, LCA) and is working to integrate the necessary data sources and systems across the organization. However, Lenzing acknowledges that a final implementation approach can only be defined once the legal requirements are further clarified.
