The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region pledges to advance circular fashion through sustained, year-on-year support for R&D projects and industrial demonstration initiatives that improve product circularity across textiles and footwear, accelerating eco-design, repair and reuse, traceability, and scalable textile-to-textile recycling. Progress will be measured annually by the number of innovation and demonstration projects supported by the Region that help bring circular solutions from the pilot stage to real-world deployment. In 2024, the Region supported 1 R&D project focused on improving circularity in the footwear sector, developing an innovative shoe disassembly solution. In 2025, the Region supported 1 R&D project, focused on structuring a regenerative, bio-based, traceable, and circular French textile sector.
