STFI commits to build skills and knowledge for the textiles transition by delivering recurring, practice-oriented training and multi-stakeholder learning formats that translate applied research into workforce competences as well as by giving lectures and courses in German Universities, e. g. TU Chemnitz, TU Dresden and Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, with a focus on circular textiles and recycling, sustainable materials and processes, testing/quality competences, and digital textile manufacturing. By 2030, STFI will deliver at least 20 training activities and 15 courses held at Universities in Germany plus at least 5 workshops/trainings/courses held in international contexts.
