By 2030, TEX IS MORE commits to supporting academic partners in developing biobased textile materials and improving their spinnability through coordinated research actions, shared infrastructure access and matchmaking with industrial partners. It will stimulate applied research on the automatic identification of multi-layer and blended textiles to enable high-quality sorting and recycling, bridge between academia and industry to exploit at least five patents (new filings or valorisation of existing IP) linked to circular textile technologies and valorise industry-driven solutions addressing elastane as a major barrier in textile recycling.
