The Space Data for Tourism Impact Model (SD4TIM) project, funded by the European Space Agency and running from June 2022 to August 2023, aimed to create a knowledge base for integrating Satellite Earth Observation (EO) data into strategic planning. By simplifying and enhancing the Tourism Impact Model (TIM), Satellite EO data makes it more user-friendly, faster, and robust, potentially attracting more tourist destinations. The project focused on developing Air Quality Indices (AQIs) and quantifying changes in air pollution and land surface temperature (LST) using Satellite EO data in Europe.
