Rzeszów was recognised at the New Mobility Congress 2026 for enhancing urban parking through smart technology. As a regional gateway toward southeastern Poland's mountain and border-tourism areas, smoother traffic in the city has knock-on benefits for travellers just passing through.

Rzeszów has rolled out a smart parking system that uses real-time sensors and camera-based monitoring to guide drivers directly to available spaces via a mobile app, cutting search times and reducing unnecessary traffic circulation in the city centre.
Rzeszów's position as a transit hub toward the Bieszczady mountains and Poland's south-eastern border region means that less time spent circling for parking, and less resulting congestion, also smooths the journey for visitors driving through the city on their way to destinations further south.
