In 2023, Slovakia saw a record high of 4,926 accommodation establishments, marking a 9.8% increase from 2019. These establishments hosted over 5.7 million visitors who collectively spent 14.9 million nights. Despite this growth, the tourism sector is still recovering from the pandemic, reaching only 73.5% of the 2019 visitor numbers and 83.9% of the nights spent.
