In 2023, Greece witnessed a substantial rise in domestic flight arrivals, surpassing not only the previous year’s numbers but also the pre-pandemic levels. Athens airport led the demand with a remarkable 4.5 million arrivals, marking it as the busiest domestic airport. In stark contrast, Araxos airport experienced the least demand, recording a mere 174 arrivals. This pattern echoes the trends of 2019, indicating a consistent preference for certain locations among travelers within Greece.
