According to provisional figures from Statistics Netherlands (CBS), hotels, motels and similar accommodation recorded roughly 3.1 million guests in June 2026, a modest increase on June 2025, with both domestic and foreign guest numbers growing at a similar pace (around 1%). Within Europe, growth was uneven: Italian visitor numbers rose sharply (around 15%), and the UK, Ireland and France also grew, while Germany, the Netherlands' largest single foreign source market, declined by nearly 10%. Regionally, Noord-Holland, home to Amsterdam, remained by far the dominant destination, accounting for over 40% of all hotel guests nationally and growing faster than the national average.
