International tourist spending in Spain rises 4% in June

According to Spain’s National Statistics Institute (INE), international tourist spending reached €13.6 billion in June, bringing the total for the first half of 2026 to €63.8 billion, 7.0% more than a year earlier. Visitors from the UK accounted for 20.6% of spending, followed by Germany at 11.1% and France at 6.5%.

International transport was the largest spending category, representing 20.5% of the total. Spending on package holidays grew faster than spending by independent travellers, while the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and Andalusia remained the leading regions by tourist expenditure.
