In 2019, the number of international coastal arrivals to Greece reached 282.0 thousand. However, due to the pandemic’s impact and resulting restrictions, this figure plummeted to 20.8 thousand in 2020. Although there was a recovery to 190.1 thousand arrivals in 2022, the number dropped again to 69.6 thousand in 2023. A similar trend was observed in departures, which decreased from 281.9 thousand in 2019 to 68.3 thousand in 2023.
