As of July 2024, Toerisme Vlaanderen reported a total of 21.9 thousand rental units in Flanders, reflecting a 3.4% year-over-year increase and a 24.9% rise compared to pre-COVID levels in July 2019. Hotels accounted for 63.6% of all accommodation establishments. Despite the overall growth, the number hotels decreased by 1.0% from July 2023, while room-related accommodations saw a 17.0% increase and vacation homes grew by 12.0%. Toerisme Vlaanderen offers more data through a free, automatically updated statistical dashboard, allowing users to explore the evolution of rental units in registered, recognized, and still licensed tourist accommodations in the Flemish Region (excluding Brussels) since April 1, 2017.
