Based on the latest reliable data from Eurostat, approximately 61.5% of the total population participating in tourism for personal purposes stays at their destination for one night or more. This is in comparison to the pre-pandemic indicator of 65.2% among population. The majority of individuals traveling for personal reasons (32.6%) stayed within their domestic country, while only 9.4% of trips were made to foreign countries. Overall, as of 2022, this indicator has nearly exceeded pre-pandemic levels.
