According to the Hungarian Central Statistical Office, out of 16.3 million arrivals at tourism accommodation establishments in 2023, hotels were the most popular choice, accommodating over 54.9% of all arrivals to Hungary. In contrast, bungalow sites, camping sites, and community hotels were the least popular, accounting for around 14.4% of all accommodation choices. This trend is consistent when comparing nights spent by domestic and foreign visitors, highlighting the preferences of tourists in Hungary.
