In 2023, Belgian residents set a new travel record with 23.3 million trips, a 2.2% increase from the previous peak in 2019. The number of overnight stays also rose significantly, reaching 163.6 million days away, a 7.1% rise compared to 2019. Statbel (Directorate General Statistics - Statistics Belgium) offers more detailed data through its free, automatically updated statistical databases. Users can explore further and access historical data by downloading Excel files or directly exploring the database.
