Evaluation & Selection Process
1. How are proposals evaluated?
The evaluators use criteria written in the call, usually covering: fit with the call objectives, quality of the plan, feasibility (can you deliver), expected impact, and value for money. Proposals must reach minimum quality scores to be selected.
2. Who evaluates my proposal?
Depending on the programme, proposals may be evaluated by staff of the managing authority, independent experts, or a combination of both. Evaluation procedures are designed to ensure transparency, impartiality and consistency across applications.
3. How long does evaluation take?
Timelines vary by call. Some decisions take a few weeks, others take a few months. Many calls publish an ‘indicative timetable’ (evaluation results and grant signature dates) in the call documents.
