Held on 18–19 June 2026 at Barcelona's Centre of Contemporary Culture, the convention combined plenaries and parallel sessions on climate change, water management, biodiversity, circular economy, destination digitalisation, and the Mediterranean blue economy. Andreea Staicu, Acting Head of the Tourism Unit at DG MOVE, opened proceedings on the new EU Sustainable Tourism Strategy, while UN Tourism gave an update on the Glasgow Declaration.

Several Interreg Euro-MED projects presented their work directly: RECIRCLE MED and Loop Zone on circular economy practices, GreenSET and MAST on the same theme from different angles, and MED-Routes on heritage and diversified tourism products. Thematic papers covered climate resilience in coastal destinations, smart and data-driven destination management, and supporting tourism SMEs through the transition to circular economy practices. A full session report, video recordings, and all thematic papers are publicly available from the event organisers.
