The Interreg Poland–Saxony 2021–2027 Cooperation Programme has launched a call for project proposals under Priority 2: A border area worth living in – education, culture, and tourism, specifically targeting Objective 2.2: Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion, and social innovation. This initiative aims to foster cross-border collaboration and development between Poland and the Saxony region.

Projects must involve at least two partners—one from each side of the border—or be submitted by a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) comprising members from both regions. Eligible applicants include educational and training institutions, NGOs, public bodies (national, regional, and local, including EGTCs), research institutions (including universities), SMEs, and other relevant entities.

A total of EUR 6.83 million is available for this call, with up to 80% of project costs eligible for EU co-financing. The application period runs from 31 March 2025 to 31 January 2026.

Proposed projects should promote year-round tourism and support the revitalisation of cultural infrastructure affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Expected outcomes include joint strategies, enhanced cultural and natural heritage, and strengthened cross-border cooperation.
