The Interreg VI-A Greece–Italy Programme has launched a EUR 7 million call to fund cross-border projects that promote sustainable tourism and cultural innovation across six regions of Greece and Italy, with applications due by 5 September 2025.

The Managing Authority of the Interreg VI-A Greece–Italy 2021–2027 Cooperation Programme has launched the 5th Targeted Call for Operations of Strategic Importance under Specific Objective 4.6 (Tourism). This call aims to strengthen the role of culture and sustainable tourism in driving economic growth, social inclusion, and innovation across six regions in Greece and Italy.

The initiative supports cross-border cooperation to enhance resilience in border areas and to promote sustainable tourism through advanced technologies and thematic cultural routes.

Eligible applicants include designated public authorities and development agencies from the participating regions. The total budget for the call is EUR 7 million, with 75% funded by the EU and 25% covered through project co-financing.

Applications must be submitted by 5 September 2025. The call encourages impactful projects aligned with the EUSAIR Macro-Regional Strategy and the programme’s sustainability objectives.
