The Directorate General for Enterprise (DGE), the French General Commission for Sustainable Development (CGDD), and the French Biodiversity Agency (OFB) have jointly issued a call for expressions of interest to establish a working group focused on integrating biodiversity considerations into tourism practices.

This initiative is open to tourism professionals, environmental organisations, and local authorities, regardless of their current level of engagement with biodiversity. Selected participants will receive support in using tools designed to help businesses address biodiversity preservation challenges.

Although the initiative does not offer financial remuneration, participating organisations will benefit from expert guidance, increased visibility, and opportunities for collaboration within a national network.

Applications are open until 31 July 2025, with initial meetings scheduled for September and October. This effort is part of France’s national biodiversity strategy and aims to strengthen the connection between tourism and nature conservation (The original piece available only in French).
