In a bid to elevate its status as a premier Mediterranean destination, Albania is executing a strategic tourism plan that will run until 2030. This plan involves creating six diverse tourism regions, focusing on sustainable development, and boosting economic growth through increased tourism revenue.

Notable projects include transforming the Port of Durrës into a prime cruise hub, expanding winter sports in the Albanian Alps, and digitizing the country's rich cultural heritage. These efforts are complemented by infrastructure upgrades, including improved transportation and the establishment of an International Academy of Tourism and Hospitality. Albania's dedication to inclusivity and sustainability positions it as a future leader in the global tourism landscape.
