On 3 July 2025, the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria announced the outcomes of a high-level meeting that brought together national and local authorities to advance regulatory reforms supporting sustainable mountain tourism. During the session, key stakeholders presented targeted measures to improve accessibility, modernise existing infrastructure, and develop new facilities. It was agreed that the submitted proposals would be consolidated and promptly forwarded to the National Assembly to establish a robust legal framework for the sector’s development.

This joint initiative reflects a unified commitment to making mountain tourism in Bulgaria more inclusive, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.
