The European Travel Commission (ETC), a non-profit organisation that represents Europe's national tourism bodies and promotes the continent as a travel destination, has pledges to advance visa liberalisation, digitalisation, multimodal travel, and low-carbon cross-border transportation throughout the continent.

As part of this initiative, the ETC will conduct benchmark research to guide governments in enhancing visa policies and to highlight best practices for issuing visas to international travellers among its member countries in the coming years.
