Visit Finland's Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) program is galvanizing the nation's tourism sector to prioritize sustainability. Through a seven-step educational framework, companies and destinations across Finland are adapting to eco-friendly practices, with the promise of earning the prestigious STF label. This initiative not only educates but also incentivizes participants with promotional benefits once awarded.
As of September 2023, 367 companies and five destinations have received the STF label. The program aims for comprehensive industry enrollment by 2025, fostering a robust culture of sustainability across the Finnish tourism ecosystem.
