Italy's Ministry of Tourism has extended the application deadline for the GreenTour fund by more than a week, giving tourism businesses more time to apply for support with energy efficiency and digitalisation investments. The scheme's scoring criteria have also been adjusted to make top marks more attainable.

A Directorial Decree issued on 17 September 2026 extends the application window for the GreenTour incentive, which supports energy efficiency, sustainability and digitalisation investments in tourism accommodation, from 30 September to 8 October 2026 (17:00). The decree also adjusts two of the ranking criteria used to score applications, making the maximum score more achievable, and allows companies to use consolidated group accounts, rather than only individual company accounts, when calculating several of the scoring parameters. Businesses that had already submitted an application before the decree's publication may withdraw and resubmit through the online portal between 21 September and 8 October 2026 to benefit from the revised criteria, easing pressure on applicants who may otherwise have missed the improved terms.
