🎯 What’s the Challenge About?
The tourism sector is evolving and so are the skills needed. This challenge invites you to share your:
• Initiatives (such as projects, best practices, learning resources) that address skill gaps and opportunities
• Training programs, upskilling strategies or educational tools
• Case studies that reflect the impact of the twin transition on workforce development
All accepted submissions will be published on EU Tourism Platform.
🧩 How to Participate?
• Register on the EU Tourism Platform (First login with your EU login account, then click on the “Join Ecosystem” button and complete your account settings)
• Click on the “Propose Content” button
• Select the most relevant type (i.e. Project, Best Practice, etc.)
• Fill out the form (See “Tips for completing the form”)
• Add “Online Challenge Skills for the Twin Transition” in the “Add a note” box
• Stay connected by checking your Messages under “My profile” for updates from our team.
🏆 What’s in it for You?

• Contribute to knowledge exchange and community learning
• Get featured in our monthly newsletter as the “EU Tourism Community Star”
• Receive the “Online Challenge Winner” badge on your profile
🧮 How will the Winner be Selected?
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
1. Alignment with the topic: Does the action clearly support awareness raising on skills needs in the tourism sector?
2. Cross-country collaboration: Does the action involve stakeholders from at least 3 different EU Member States, promoting transnational cooperation?
3. Multi stakeholder collaboration: Does the action engage a mix of organisation types (e.g. public authorities, SMEs, NGOs, academia), fostering an inclusive and multi-stakeholder approach in skills building?
4. Alignment with twin transition: Does the action contributes to skills needed for both environmental sustainability and digital transformation in tourism?
✍️ Tips for Completing the form
1. Provide a unique title:
Your title should be clear, informative, and accurately reflect the essence of the content.
The title displayed on the platform must differ from the original one (e.g. the title used in the project’s own website or news item). Simply copying and pasting can be considered a potential violation of intellectual property rights and should be strictly avoided.
2. Include a summary:
This should be a brief overview—1 to 2 sentences—that allows readers to quickly understand the core idea of the content before reading further. Avoid lengthy explanations or unnecessary details at this stage.
3. Add a short description:
This section should answer the key questions: Who? What? Where? When? How? and Why is it important? To add the description, go to: Content → Paragraph type → Rich text → Add paragraph.
4. Upload a featured image
Before uploading, ensure the image is royalty-free. Always include the source of the image in the content notes.
5. Add a note
In the bottom right, indicate that your proposed content is intended for the online challenge by typing “Online Challenge Skills for the Twin Transition” in the “Add a note” box
6. Submit your contribution
When you have completed the form click on the “Submit” button on the bottom of the form. In case you would like to save the form for later review and submission click on the “Save” button. Please note that contributions will be assessed only when submitted.
