Fáilte Ireland and Údarás na Gaeltachta have announced over €4 million in funding for two major tourism projects on the islands of Árainn (Inis Mór) in Co. Galway and Cléire (Cape Clear) in Co. Cork. These projects aim to enhance the visitor experience, extend the tourism season, and provide significant economic and cultural benefits to the local communities. The investment will support the development of new visitor attractions, including the Árainn – Place of Stone Visitor Centre, which will celebrate the island’s rich cultural heritage. This initiative is part of a strategic partnership to make Gaeltacht experiences more appealing and accessible to visitors (The original piece available only in Irish).
