The ASCEND project, running from 2023 to 2028, is revolutionizing urban living by creating Positive Clean Energy Districts (PCEDs) across Europe. From addressing climate change to fostering smart, resilient communities, the project sets ambitious goals with initial PCEDs in Lyon and Munich and plans to expand to six additional cities.

ASCEND's focus includes zero-carbon buildings, smart energy grids, and digital tools to craft inclusive, healthier urban environments. By 2028, the initiative aims to have 25 PCEDs in progress, transforming cities into hubs of sustainable, eco-friendly living.
