SMARTBUS is an innovative project uniting universities from Slovakia, Czechia, and Poland with a leading tourism industry partner to revolutionize education for tourism students. Spanning 2022 to 2024, this collaboration focuses on strengthening student competencies through revamped curricula, an interactive labour-market dashboard, and an AI-supported online tool available in four languages. By aligning education with real-world requirements, the project aims to boost employability for students across the V4 region. Feedback from over 201 tourism businesses, educators, and students underscores the effectiveness and enhanced student readiness.
Notably, the initiative has gained recognition from both national and EU institutions, influencing educational policies and contributing to a resilient tourism ecosystem in Europe.
