Bulgaria will host the Ninth Global Wine Tourism Conference in 2025, following an agreement between the Ministry of Tourism and the UN World Tourism Organization, aiming to promote the country’s wine culture and strengthen its position in global tourism.

On 25 February 2025, the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism announced that Bulgaria will host the ninth edition of the Global Wine Tourism Conference. This collaborative effort with the UN World Tourism Organisation aims to highlight Bulgaria’s rich wine culture and promote sustainable tourism practices. By participating in this conference, the destination seeks to enhance its global standing in the tourism industry and develop sustainable and competitive policies for the sector.
