We support the effort of the EU to encourage travel service providers to deliver CO2 emission data reports for purchased travel services. We are producing a Reporting Guide for the travel vendors, e.g. TMC’s, Airlines, Hotels, Rail Operators, etc. by the end of 2024, to support the understanding and delivery of the minimum requirements of the business travel buyers in order to manage and report their CO2 footprint of their companies business travel. These should be free of charge for all corporate customers in an interoperable format. We will also support regulatory action if necessary.
Business travelers are more likely than other groups to use digital applications if the tool helps them organize their daily work more efficiently and companies are highly interested in using common tools to more readily ensure their duty of care and improve their data source for the reporting of their Scope 3 CO2 Emissions.
