The project is being carried out in Greece, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Finland and Estonia, with the aim of strengthening the visibility, resilience and market potential of traditional crafts by linking them more closely to tourism. Its main mechanism is direct support: CRAFT-TOUR plans to fund and mentor at least 30 artisans and craft SMEs through an open call, covering areas like product development, digital marketing and craft-based visitor experiences.

Alongside the funding scheme, the project is building a digital collaboration platform meant to connect artisans across borders, share knowledge, and surface new opportunities for cooperation, intended as one of its main tools for cross-border learning once the project is fully operational. The Brussels meeting set out the work plan, reporting arrangements and timeline for the first milestones, with the consortium now moving into the operational phase.
