The LIFE heritageHOME project, titled "Integrated Renovation Services for Heritage Homes of Estonia" and co-funded by the European Union, is designed to support the energy-efficient renovation of historic homes in Estonia. Led by the Estonian Ministry of Culture, the project involves collaboration among national institutions to ensure that energy upgrades are compatible with the preservation of cultural heritage.

Key components of the project include the creation of a digital platform, the provision of technical guidance, and structured homeowner involvement through the Heritage Owners’ Assembly. The project will also generate policy recommendations to align renovation practices with climate objectives.

By the conclusion of the three-year project in October 2026, expected deliverables include a comprehensive renovation roadmap, an information portal for homeowners, a database of service providers, quality guidelines for consultants, a renovation passport tool, and the dissemination of best practices through expert reports, videos, articles, and a Renovation Atlas for homeowners.
