For robotics and industrial-AI developers, the most consequential change is structural: AI embedded in machinery will now be addressed through delegated acts under the Machinery Regulation rather than the AI Act's separate high-risk regime. For other sectors, stand-alone high-risk obligations move to 2 December 2027 and AI embedded in other regulated products to 2 August 2028.
