The Urban Agenda for the EU’s Food Partnership will hold a public webinar on 2 September 2026 to discuss how local food strategies can connect more effectively with Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3/RIS3) and regional innovation programmes. The session will also gather stakeholder feedback on the Partnership’s emerging recommendations.

Speakers will include Marian Simon Rojo, leader of Action 3, experts from the European Urban Initiative, and representatives of the South Ostrobothnia and Helsinki-Uusimaa regions in Finland.

The webinar will present emerging findings on how cities can engage with regional innovation frameworks and use Smart Specialisation instruments to support local food policy. Participants will be invited to provide feedback that will help shape the final roadmap and recommendations.
